'Oyster' grew from seeing a beautiful history in the shell, as layer by lacey layer was laid down and subtly coloured by it's environment.

Oysters have been living in the waters of Chichester Harbour since before Roman times and it seemed to signify the history of this place over centuries and stand as a monument to the landscape.

As the 'wings' part they draw you in to the satiny space inside at the same time as framing the expanse of water and creek.
