The spiral, unlike the circle from which it rises, is a dynamic form, rising or falling according to your point of view.

My aim was to design a magical and beautiful space just like some clumps of trees in natural woodland seem to enclose a 'special place'.

Standing in the centre of the circle, some feel the spiral wrapping around them while others experience a peaceful groundedness. Children naturally connect with the energy running around the piece or weaving through the poles in a re-creation of traditional circle dances.
